From the street.
To the stars.
This is not a polished story. It was never meant to be. It's raw, documented, and real — because JJ made sure of that from day one.
It started with an illegal eviction by Queensland Police in Edmonton-Cairns. No warning. No time to vacate. Just a man, his dog Buddy, and everything they could carry.
What followed was years of homelessness — through the mud, the rain, the legal battles, the false arrests, the misrepresentation and the system failing a man who refused to be broken. Through every single moment of it, Buddy was there.
JJ filmed all of it. Every raw moment. Every setback. Every small victory. Not because he thought anyone was watching — but because the truth deserved to be documented.
"Stay strong. Stay resilient. Never give up." — JJ, the Boss
Where it all began. The camp. The mud. The Australian flag flying anyway.
Then Buddy got sick. Cancer took him. And the man who had survived everything — survived that too. He dedicated every video, every frame, every word to the dog who never left his side.
Today, JJ is in Ballina. He's got his ute registered, a powered wire stripper, a generator, and a business to build. JJ Scrap Metal is rising. And the story isn't over — it's just getting started.
JJ's ute, his tools, and his new home — the beautiful Northern Rivers of NSW.
